COLOR AND TREND REPORT

It’s once again time to think about the colors in your home. The experts at Pantone® have been doing their annual analysis and forecasting, and we are enthusiastically sharing their findings with you as you get ready to decorate, remodel or build your luxury, high-end Naples or Boca Raton home here in lovely Florida, US of A. Even if you’re ready to launch into your home project in the near future, it’s always a good idea to look ahead and see how your current musings will reflect on upcoming trends.

Trend forecasting service WGSN has been doing their homework. Since it is their job to forecast things 24 months out, they announced in 2019 that an electric shade of blue called A.I. (as in Artificial Intelligence) Aqua, officially numbered Pantone® 14-4811 TCX, will be featured prominently in interiors, fashion and tech in 2021. The color is described by the brand as having a “positive” hue, (something that we could all use right about now) and has also been deemed both “sporty and trend-forward”. Fashiontrendsetter.com pointed out that Al Aqua has a “futuristic and innovative feel” with tons of commercial appeal. Largely influenced by the digital age, we can expect to see a lot of this shade showing up in hotel interior design as well, says Hotel News Now.

Louie Sison, senior designer at Wilson Associates’ Dallas studio, told Hotel News Now that A.I. Aqua is a maturation of the basic aqua and has evolved to represent technology and the future. He adds that technology companies have really embraced this color because they want to convey “blue-sky thinking (and) a sky’s-the-limit mentality.” Your luxury high-end Smart Home will agree!

The Pantone® Color Institute experts agree, expanding on the idea with several additional colors forecasted for popularity in Spring/Summer 2021. They emphasize our desire for a range of color that inspires ingenuity and inventiveness, colors whose versatility transcend the seasons and allow for more freedom of choice. These colors will lend themselves to original color statements and a flexibility that easily adapts to our new and more fragmented tech-heavy lifestyle.

The spring/summer 2021 New York Fashion Week Color Palette includes a range from Marigold and Cerulean to Rust, Illuminating, Green Ash and Burnt Coral. Find the complete list of colors and their specific number IDs here.

“Offering a range of shades illustrative of nature, colors for Spring/Summer 2021 underscores our desire for flexible color that works year-round. Infused with a genuine authenticity that continues to be increasingly important, colors for Spring/Summer 2021 combine a level of comfort and relaxation with sparks of energy that encourage and uplift our moods,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone® Color Institute.

Fashiontrendsetter shares that soft gold/beige colors will be on the rise in 2021, with the Phoenix laser Cut Pattern in Tea Green among the more popular for your textiles like curtains, pillows and upholstery. If you are looking for something a little more subtle, opt for the Wiltshire Plain Poly Cotton Flat Weave Upholstery Curtains Fabric in Silver Color. Classy and chic, this fabric pairs well with modern accessories in your luxury high-end Naples or Boca Raton home.

Magenta shows off in the Phoenix Laser Cut Pattern in Soft Velveteen, as far as pink trends go. Look for lime green to be all the rage in 2021 on upholstery curtains in a Wiltshire plain poly cotton flat weave.
