CLIVE DANIEL HOME PRESENTS KEYS TO NEW HABITAT HOME
Clive Daniel Home & Habitat for Humanity Celebrate Home Dedication in Lehigh Acres
Lehigh Acres, FL — June 16, 2021 — In partnership with Clive Daniel Home, Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties celebrated the completion of its newest home in Lehigh Acres with a dedication ceremony on June 10.
Following a presentation of gifts and home blessing, Dalia Fontz, Marketing Director of Clive Daniel Home, presented the keys of the home to its new owner, Ashley. A single mother of three (ages seven, ten, and 15), Ashley has been living with her children in a single room in her parents’ house because the price of rent is too high for her to afford. Now, the family will be able to enjoy the comforts and space of their very own home.
“I’m thankful for everybody at Habitat and everybody that’s here today,” said Ashley. “This is my family’s dream … I finally got [my kids] a home. They’re going to be happy—and it’s affordable for us. I am so thankful.”
As part of Habitat’s Homeownership Program, Ashley contributed 300 hours of sweat equity and attended financial literacy and home maintenance classes in order to earn and purchase the home, and she will pay an affordable, monthly mortgage going forward.
“All of us at Clive Daniel Home are so proud of Ashley and are grateful to have had a hand in helping her and her children thrive in our community,” said Daniel Lubner, CEO and President of Clive Daniel Home. “We’re always happy to partner with Habitat for Humanity and support their tremendous work in Lee and Henry Counties.”
This is the fifth home Clive Daniel Home has helped sponsor for Habitat for Humanity Lee and Henry Counties. Their donation was paired with co-sponsor Sanibel Captiva Community Bank and helped cover the direct costs associated with the home’s construction.
