After graduating from Michigan State University and DePaul University in 1989, Sherie worked in commercial design for Teng & Associates, an architectural and engineering design firm located in the Chicago Loop. Her commercial and transportation-related clients included American Airlines, United Airlines and the City of Chicago.
After leaving the windy City in 1999, Sherie owned and operated her own Interior Design Studio for 16 years in Dallas and then Naples, working primarily is residential design. She joined Clive Daniel Home in 2015 after being introduced to the extensive inventory and vast amount of design resources offered to her at CDH.
Sherie’s earlier work experience focused on the intersection and flow of design within all disciplines: architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, lighting and interior design. This knowledge and experience prove invaluable with new construction and renovation projects, two of her specialties. Sherie enjoys working extensively alongside builders and homeowners from the early design stages through project completion. She loves working with investors and builders to design models that showcase their design/build capabilities.
She feels an important responsibility of a designer is to find opportunities to push the design from “comfortable” to “truly remarkable”. She has a knack for getting her clients talking about how they live, for this feedback she believes is the center of any great design.
Sherie is an extremely proud mother of two young adults and a 10-year Breast Cancer Survivor. When not designing, she enjoys exercising, kayaking, and being active in online forums to help fellow cancer survivors.
