ON VIEW EXCLUSIVELY AT CDH: THE MAGNUM GINKGO VASE
Daum, the world-renowned French luxury crystal studio founded in 1878, has generously donated a magnificent, one-of-a-kind piece to the Naples community. The amber and green Magnum Ginkgo Vase, valued at $44,740, can only be obtained by placing a winning bid during the Naples Winter Wine Festival live auction on February 4, 2023. The auction package also includes a luxury trip for four to France and a VIP visit to the famous Dam Atelier, with proceeds benefitting the Naples Children & Education Foundation.
Until February 3, the stunning vase will be on view exclusively at Clive Daniel Home’s Naples showroom. Although the vase is only available to purchase at the Naples Winter Wine Festival, Clive Daniel Home is proud to partner with Daum to offer additional works of art, including more pieces from the limited edition Ginkgo collection. Inspired by autumn leaves changing color, this collection possesses a dreamlike quality that perfectly captures the beauty and whimsy of nature.
Since 1878, Daum has been France’s most legendary crystal factory. Passed down from generation to generation, its unique creative process utilizes pâte de cristal, a rare technique dating back to 5000 B.C. that Daum rediscovered in 1900, then further developed in 1968. The process is extremely delicate to master. The pieces are produced through the melting of fragments of crystal within a mould and have a texture, substance and a softness of contours that can not be obtained with blown glass. Today, Daum is the only crystal maker in the world able to produce this exceptional material so perfectly.
