GET TO KNOW: SARASOTA DESIGNER KAYLEE ADAMS
Originally from Johnstown, PA, interior designer Kaylee Adams moved to Florida after receiving her B.S. in interior design from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She specializes in residential design, particularly kitchens and baths, lighting, and decor—but she is passionate about all aspects of design. “I love it all—from the materials and finishes to the forms and textures.”
Kaylee finds inspiration for her work in the belief that each client has their own unique sense of self that can be embodied in a beautiful and comfortable living space. She loves being able to use her creative talents to create designs that fit her clients’ visions.

Favorite piece in the showroom:
I’m most excited to see Palecek in the showroom, as it’s such a distinctive line. I love how organic each product is and the texture it gives to a space. Their designs are true conversation pieces.
Current design trend:
Right now I’m loving uneven pendant lighting. It not only adds visual interest, but it is also functional, highlighting the highs and lows of a room. I especially love seeing them used as statement pieces in foyers.

Best source of project inspo:
I tend to turn to social media to get inspired for design projects. It helps relax my mind and seeing how others think outside the box allows me to get even more creative.
Best design advice you’ve ever received:
The best pieces of advice that I have received is, “Don’t worry about what everybody else is doing.” I’ve come to understand that we all work at our own pace and all have different backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge.
Favorite part of working at CDH:
At CDH, I get to work alongside an outstanding management team that is very helpful and supportive in every way, as well as other talented designers that have incredibly creative minds, a CAD department that always goes above and beyond for us, and a support team that works behind the scenes to ensure everything always runs smoothly.
