Celebrating 10 years with Clive Daniel Home, Kathy Monahan is an award-winning designer recognized with multiple Aurora and Sand Dollar Awards. Known for her approachable style and keen design instincts, Kathy loves guiding clients through the process of creating homes that feel both beautiful and deeply personal.

Originally from the Detroit, Michigan area, Kathy brings more than a decade of experience spanning business management, sales, and interior design. Before joining Clive Daniel Home, she managed a high-end design gallery and later served as Gallery Manager and Design Manager for Scott Shuptrine Interiors in Royal Oak, Michigan. There, she built a reputation for strong client relationships and an intuitive ability to translate vision into thoughtfully curated spaces.

Kathy’s entrepreneurial spirit also runs deep. She co-founded The Twisted Shamrock, a beloved Irish specialty store she affectionately describes as “a mini Macy’s for Celtic goods.” In addition to overseeing daily operations, she managed buying trips across the U.S. and Ireland and led sales initiatives, all while developing a sharp eye for merchandising and product selection. Earlier in her career, she also led a direct-sales jewelry team of more than 60 professionals.

A visit to the Clive Daniel Home showroom ultimately drew Kathy to Florida, where she was inspired by the merchandising, craftsmanship, and design-forward philosophy—and knew instantly she had found the right place to “hang her hat.”

Today, Kathy enjoys all aspects of interior design, from ground-up new construction to full or partial renovations, as well as helping clients pull together that one room that’s been missing something special. With a passion for fabrics, color, and balance, her signature strength lies in finding the “just right” combination—layering fresh design with meaningful heirlooms so every home reflects the personality, history, and lifestyle of the people who live there.
