Arissa Smith

Interior Designer

”The details are not the details. They are the design. ~Charles Eames”

Arissa Smith is a Florida-based interior designer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and is currently pursuing NCIDQ certification. She has a passion for creating spaces that are both functional and thoughtfully tailored to the people who use them. With experience spanning residential, multifamily, commercial, and luxury furnishings design, she brings a well-rounded perspective to every project.

Throughout her career, Arissa has contributed to a diverse range of projects through roles with Sally Trout Interiors, City Home, Fieldstone Architecture & Engineering, RH, and her own design business, A.S. Designs, where she provided consulting, space planning, and drawing services for residential clients early in her career. These experiences have strengthened her ability to blend creativity, technical expertise, and strategic problem-solving to create environments that enhance everyday living.

Arissa believes great design is more than aesthetics, it is about creating spaces that support connection, comfort, and quality of life. Understanding how people interact with their environment is fundamental to her design approach, drawing from the principles of human factors and user-centered design. She enjoys guiding projects from concept through completion, collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and project teams to develop solutions that reflect each client’s unique vision, lifestyle, and goals.

Among her most rewarding work are community-focused projects such as Del Webb River Reserve, Four Seasons at Wylder, and the award-winning Vida’s Way in Wesley Chapel, recognized as Community of the Year. These projects required the thoughtful integration of aesthetics, functionality, and ADA accessibility standards to create welcoming, inclusive environments that serve diverse demographics.

What inspires Arissa most is witnessing the transformation of a space and the positive impact it has on those who experience it. Whether designing a private residence, model home, amenity center, or community environment, she is committed to creating interiors that are timeless, purposeful, and deeply personal.

Outside of design, Arissa enjoys exploring museums, studying history, and discovering architecture through travel. She draws inspiration from the stories, craftsmanship, and cultural influences that shape the built environment. Some of her favorite escapes are cabin retreats in the North Georgia mountains, particularly around Ellijay and Clayton, where she enjoys the beauty of the fall season and the connection between nature, architecture, and everyday living. Growing up, she traveled throughout Mexico and spent summers in Montreal, experiences that broadened her appreciation for diverse cultures, design traditions, and ways of living. At home, she shares her life with her calico cat, Ellie—affectionately known as “Ellie Belly”—who is undoubtedly the star of the household.
