DESIGNER FINDS: KIALEE LYKINS’ 3 FAVORITE PIECES
Clive Daniel Home regulars know that visiting the showroom is a unique and unforgettable experience. Each corner of the store is curated to perfection, with imaginative and inspiring displays of handpicked furniture, rugs, lighting, and accessories. It’s easy to become lost in the array of beautiful objects—and the endless opportunities they present for one’s home.
With so many options, however, it can also be easy to overlook or miss pieces. In order to highlight some of the showroom’s current “hidden gems,” we asked Clive Daniel Home interior designer Kialee Lykins to share her favorite items on the floor right now.
Here’s what she picked:
Modern Four-Piece Sectional
While Kialee has worked with clients with seemingly every design style out there, she would describe her own personal style as being modern, but with a natural, organic, and warm touch. This low, four-piece sectional encompasses that style perfectly.
“It’s beautifully designed, but practical and livable,” she said. “I love its sleek, soft lines and the contrast of the light upholstery against the rich finish of the sectional table.”
Mixed Material Bed
Like the sectional above, this bed’s elegance lies in the simplicity of its design and materials. “The mixture of exposed wood and upholstery is so beautiful and natural, and it creates an added layer of texture,” Kialee said.
“I also think it’s important in design to be able to mix pieces that are new and old, and that might have different styles—and this is a piece that would blend perfectly with so many other items,” she added.
Grasscloth Wallpaper
This grasscloth wallpaper is one of Clive Daniel Home’s many new innovative wallcovering options. Constructed out of banana stem fiber, each roll of this wallpaper is one-of-a-kind and features incredible texture for a natural look.
“The effect is amazing,” Kialee said. “It definitely makes a statement and would look incredible in a bedroom behind the bed.”
