PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: A PRIVATE OASIS IN PINE RIDGE ESTATES
Award-winning Clive Daniel Home interior designers Susan Trivison and Kathy Monahan collaborated with Platinum Custom Homes to design a one-of-a-kind home in Naples’ Pine Ridge Estates neighborhood. The spacious 4,588 square foot home is located on an expansive lot and features five and a half bathrooms and four bedrooms plus a bonus room, which has its own wet bar, walk-in closet, and private bathroom.
In terms of design, the home was created to feel like a private oasis. Nicole Chaussee, owner of Platinum Custom Homes, found inspiration for the interiors during a trip to Saint Kitts. While she was there, she lived in a beautiful cottage overlooking tropical forests and the Caribbean Sea. She soon fell in love with the home and its warm, relaxed island feel—and who could blame her? It featured high vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, large windows letting in lots of natural light, and a private veranda with a freestanding bathtub and shower.
Back stateside, the team decided to incorporate several of these same elements into their design. Like the Saint Kitts cottage, the Naples home features vaulted ceilings, spacious rooms, and an undeniable indoor/outdoor feel throughout. Susan and Kathy selected a neutral color palette interspersed with pops of calming blue in each room. The home’s backgrounds also include European oak floors, stunning tile designs, and intricate wall detailing.
Though it features island influences, the home is far from looking like it belongs in the Caribbean. Its clean lines and plush textures truly give it the feel of a modern, upscale retreat. “The overall interior design style is coastal contemporary,” Susan said. “It’s clean and fresh and fun, and it would be perfect for a young family.”
