Furniture Today Celebrates the Rising Stars of the Home Furnishings Industry
Las Vegas, August 23th, 2024 – On July 27th, Furniture Today celebrated the remarkable individuals shaping the home furnishings industry in an inspiring event held at the Las Vegas World Market Center. This celebration recognized both the renowned names that have long been synonymous with industry excellence and the emerging talents making their mark.
The event highlighted the industry’s most valued asset—its people. From the inaugural selection of industry Titans to the continued celebration of the 40 Under 40 Trailblazers Awards, started three years ago, the night was a testament to the dynamic and innovative spirit driving the home furnishings sector.
Furniture Today honored the industry’s legendary titans, today’s movers and shakers, and the future leaders of home furnishings. Daniel Lubner, CEO of Clive Daniel Home, had the distinct honor of nominating Pate Rauluk, Buyer, recognizing his outstanding contributions and leadership potential within the industry. Pate was recognized as one of the “People to Watch” and received an award for being among the Top 40 Furniture Professionals under 40 during the Furniture Today celebrations.

Starting his career in the furniture business while in college, initially as a sales associate at Bob’s Discount Furniture, Pate’s journey took an unexpected turn when inspired by his former Chief Merchandising Officer. Transitioning from a pre-med path, Pate joined Bob’s merchandising department, rising quickly under mentorship. Recruited by Clive Daniel Home in mid-2022, Pate sought to expand his knowledge in the high-end market, setting the stage for future growth.
At Clive Daniel Home, Pate oversees a diverse range of categories including accessories, linens, art, boutique items, lighting, floral, outdoor furniture, and mattresses. He also assists with hospitality purchasing. Bringing experience from Bob’s, Pate has introduced improvements in freight container programs, product development, cross-functional collaboration, enhancing operational efficiency and problem-solving within the company.
As the youngest merchant at Clive Daniel Home, Pate leverages his comfort with technology and fresh perspective to challenge norms and propose innovative solutions. He introduces digital tools that streamline processes and enhance customer experiences, helping the company adapt to the evolving furniture industry landscape. His passion and forward-thinking approach are instrumental in driving the company’s success and innovation within the industry.
