SHOW OFF YOUR WINE COLLECTION WITH A HOME WINE ROOM
In the past, the idea of a home wine room might have have conjured up images of an underground cellar with barreled ceilings, brick walls, and wood or stone flooring. While traditional wine cellars still exist, modern wine rooms are becoming more and more popular in interior design. Increasing numbers of homeowners are looking to create wine storage for their collection that can double as a unique design feature or art installation. Home wine rooms are no longer something to be delegated to the basement, but a central focal point in home design plans.
With thoughtful planning, a home wine room can be transformational in a space—but, it must be created with utmost consideration for the needs of wine collecting, climate control, lighting, and function. At Clive Daniel Home, our team of interior designers can help assess the needed amount of wine bottle storage, discuss design goals, and create a beautiful, first-class wine room—no matter the size or shape of the space.
In this Naples home, interior designers Charlie Hansen and Rebekah Errett-Pikosky created a striking walk-in wine room that features floor-to-ceiling glass. Dark wood shelves with integrated LED lights provide the perfect framework for rows upon rows of wine bottles to be stored and showcased against a crisp marble backdrop. Its bright lighting, architectural shelves, and modern configuration make it appear more like an art exhibit than a wine room. Nested next to the home’s great room and formal dining room, it is a true statement feature that nonetheless blends with the surrounding space’s luxurious design and reinforces its modern, elegant feel.
For this home, interior designers Susan Melo and Kathy Monahan created a built-in wine nook in the great room. The area is a host’s dream, complete with soft lighting, a gorgeous background, and chrome pegs that have the effect of making the wine bottles appear to be floating. Its neutral palette and soft-but-sleek look makes a subtle statement while meshing well with the design of the rest of the home.
There are countless other examples we could share of the incredible wine rooms Clive Daniel Home designers have created. From walk-in wine rooms to wine walls to wine nooks, the creative possibilities are endless.
