” I have been artistic my whole life, whether it’s playing piano and percussion, performing slam poetry, or building custom furniture. I love bringing that creativity to projects.
Florida native Quentin MacDonald brings more than two decades of design experience to his role as an interior designer at Clive Daniel Home. Before joining the CDH team, Quentin owned his own workroom, Studio Q, which earned him SRQ Magazine’s Innovator of the Year Award and Best Local Furniture Award, as well as numerous project features in other publications.
Interior design has always come naturally to Quentin. “I have been artistic my whole life, whether it’s playing piano and percussion, performing slam poetry, or building custom furniture,” he explains. “I love bringing that creativity to projects.”
Quentin loves stretching his talents and incorporating fresh concepts into his projects. He is especially interested in user experience design, which he utilizes to ensure his clients’ homes will work as well for them as they look. His favorite part of design is finding just the right product or solution for a client’s space.
No matter what the project is, Quentin is dedicated to communicating with his clients about their needs and wants, spending time with the custom artisans and manufacturers, and bringing their ideas to fruition. For a recent home he worked on, this dedication involved custom coloring and designing a hand-painted mural with a Turkish arts studio. “We went back and forth several times to achieve the perfect combination of blues to make everything in the room work perfectly together,” he says.
