Jay Filler

Interior Designer

Jay Filler turns your design dreams into a reality. His 25 years of experience, awards, and participation in the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Interior Design Society make him an expert in creating a style uniquely yours.

Jay Filler grew up in the greater D.C. area, where he often visited the Smithsonian Institution and other historic museums and cultural landmarks, which provided no shortage of inspiration for his future as a designer. He also lived abroad in Europe for a time and often attributes his love for classic and traditional designs to that experience.

When he began his career after earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business, Jay soon realized his talent for blending traditional and modern pieces. Some of his first projects included a cottage lake home with stunning views, a custom home on the Potomac River, and a traditional remodel of a c. 1790 home near George Washington’s childhood home.

Jay’s clients appreciate the diverse and eclectic feel that he is able to achieve through his designs. When beginning a new project, he makes sure to learn his clients’ personalities, their favorite activities, and how they plan to use their home so he can create a space that is uniquely tailored to their tastes.

Outside of design, Jay enjoys traveling, visiting the beach, and pursuing other creative endeavors like writing.
