Ann Marinelli’s multi-cultural experience includes more than 30 years in the design field as an Interior Architect and Space Planner, a Furniture and Industrial Designer, university professor and design journalist. She has served as a consultant and Design Manager for several international manufacturing companies and has lived in the USA and Europe, working with business clients all over the world.
Ann’s passion for finishes and colors lead her to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design and later a Masters certificate in Industrial Design and Design Management at the Domus Academy in Italy. She also holds a Masters in M useum Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
Working as a design journalist, Ann has reported on trends in the world of design while traveling through Europe, the Far East and the USA. She has lived and worked in Milan, Italy for more than 25 years, holds dual US and Italian citizenship and is fluent in Italian.
Ann’s fascination with design and the human interface has led her to co-author Playoffice, about the work environment, human behavior and relationships. She has also written books on cooking, featuring recipes from around the globe.
A specialist in residential, office, commercial and hospitality interiors, she has worked with international office furniture manufacturers as a product designer, project coordinator and consultant. Ann has designed for such respected companies as Cassina, Steelcase, and Herman Miller.
Ann has recently qualified as a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS). In the new role, she will combine her extensive international interior design experience with her CAPS training to help her clients modify their homes and changing lifestyles for aging in place.
