”I love working with people and brainstorming creative ways to improve their lives through creative designs.
Marcos Dos-Santos has lived and worked in cities across the globe, including Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he was born, as well as New York, Minneapolis, and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Before becoming an interior designer, he spent several years working in Europe helping American companies execute business merger projects overseas. As part of an implementation team, he undertook significant responsibilities in the execution of projects, collaborating with clients in different countries to resolve acquisition issues at both local and international levels. This helped him acquire extensive planning, budgeting and project management skills, which he continues to utilize in his work today.
Marcos also previously worked as a real estate agent in New York. During this time, he was asked to furnish several housing accommodations for visiting United Nations officials from around the world. The response he received from his clients was amazing, and after each subsequent project, he realized his true penchant for interior design. He then left the world of real estate and began pursuing a full-time career as a designer.
After making the transition, Marcos was recognized for his talents and awarded Circle of Excellence Rookie of the Year, and soon after, Designer of the Year. His strong background in project management, space planning, computer-aided renderings, and attention to detail ensure that he is able to coordinate all facets of design with a high-degree of customer satisfaction.
“I love working with people and brainstorming creative ways to improve their lives through creative designs,” he said. “My greatest source of inspiration comes from what my clients tell me they love. I work alongside each client to discuss their vision and priorities so we can customize their space to reflect their lifestyle and personality, while maximizing space and functionality.”
Outside of work, Marcos loves to travel and experience other cultures and languages. He is fluent in English and Portuguese, with a good knowledge of Spanish and conversational Dutch.
