Joanie hails from Central Pennsylvania where inspiration for her designs of country and lake homes came from the spectacular mountain ranges. The majority of her design style was formulated in Southern California. Her influence for Coastal Homes was the captivating colors of the Pacific Ocean. Palm Springs transitioned her perspective to simplistic lines and bold colors setting the stage for the desert floor and snow-capped mountains.
She earned a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University, State College, PA and an MBA from National University in La Jolla, California. Also, a journalist, she created BookBoth.com Hotels & Golf, an online travel company that provides booking for top U.S. and international destinations with extraordinary golf courses. Joanie’s executive work experience in marketing, logistics and distribution was in the petroleum industry. She specialized in the South East Asian Market for Chevron and West Coast development for Unocal and Halliburton.
In addition to working as an independent designer, Joanie was also a designer for Wolf Furniture in Central Pennsylvania and Baer’s Furniture in Naples Florida. Her diversity in design styles makes her a strong candidate for clients with multiple homes.
