Originally from the Detroit, Michigan area, Kathy Monahan joins Clive Daniel Home with over a decade of experience in business management, sales and design. Most recently, she worked for Scott Shuptrine Interiors, a high-end luxury furnishings retailer in Royal Oak, Michigan, serving as both Gallery Manager and Design Manager. She excelled in sales and working with customers to achieve their own special environment.
Earlier, Kathy and her brother opened The Twisted Shamrock, an Irish store in Michigan, which she describes as “a mini-Macy’s for Celtic goods.” The store sold wedding jewelry, woolen capes, and house wares. In addition to sales, she handled many of the business operations for the store, now run by her brother. During her seven years with the store, she was also responsible for buying trips to Ireland, New York City, Chicago and California. Previously, she sold jewelry through a direct sales company, responsible for a team of 60 sales professionals.
After she decided to relocate to Florida, Kathy visited the Clive Daniel Home showroom and was so impressed with the merchandising and lines of furniture sold that she knew this was where she wanted to “hang her hat” and quickly made the move to Naples.
While assisting customers, Kathy’s goal is to ensure that their home reflects their own personality. She has a keen eye for design and a passion for fabrics and color. Finding the “just right” combination is her forte. This enables her to help clients update their homes while at the same time incorporating family heirlooms or pieces that are important to them.
