Interior Designer

Lorena Posadas is a passionate and versatile designer with a diverse background spanning product, fashion, textile, and interior design. Originally from Guatemala, her love for creativity and aesthetics began in childhood and led her to earn a degree in Product Design from Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado.

She dedicated over a decade to the fashion industry, designing collections for women and children, as well as handbags, suitcases, and accessories. This journey eventually sparked a deeper interest in Surface and Textile Design, where she spent seven years developing patterns and prints that captured beauty through color, form, and texture.

After moving to the United States in 2010, Lorena worked as a freelance designer for well-known brands such as White House Black Market, Office Depot, and MZB & Co. Her time as a stylist for WORTH New York awakened a love for guiding clients toward personal expression through design—an experience that seamlessly translated into the world of interior design.

At Scan Design, Lorena discovered her newest and most fulfilling passion: helping people express their identity and lifestyle through their living spaces. Her trained eye, digital proficiency in Floorplanner, and natural curiosity empower her to create interiors that are both functional and inspiring. She is continually deepening her design knowledge through books, training, and research, driven by a love of learning that has also led her to earn two Cisco Networking certifications.

Lorena believes that a home should reflect who you are. With a talent for combining colors, patterns, and shapes, she helps clients find their personal style and bring it to life. Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator, and fluent in Spanish, Lorena finds joy in photography, handcrafts, and exploring modern art—always seeking beauty, comfort, and meaning in design.
