Kim O’Toole

Interior Designer

"There is something so special about helping people create the home of their dreams."

Kim O’Toole, a New York native, grew up with a passion for working with color, textiles, and an eye for aesthetics. She initially channeled these artistic sensibilities into a career in NYC’s fashion industry, but later found interior design to be a better fit. “There is something so special about helping people create the home of their dreams and giving them a beautiful space that they can enjoy and share with their family and friends,” she said.

After working for a design firm in Connecticut, Kim moved to New Jersey with her husband and three children and started her own design consulting business. She has helped her husband, Rob, a licensed contractor, refurbish countless houses over the past two decades, in addition to advising clients on design selections.

Kim has created spaces in every style, from luxurious to eclectic, but all of her designs are imbued with a sense of warmth and beauty. Her approach to projects involves helping clients feel comfortable with the design process, rather than overwhelmed by it, and ensuring that their personal tastes are incorporated. She has received glowing praise from her clients, and her work has even been featured on HGTV’s “Curb Appeal.”

Aside from interior design, Kim is passionate about food and nutrition, and she earned a diploma from a nationally-accredited nutritionally-based culinary arts school in NYC. She loves cooking and sharing her culinary expertise with others, as well as reading, doing Pilates, and outdoor activities like gardening, paddling, kayaking, biking, and boating.
