This amazing high-energy design professional has been creative since his 10th birthday. He attended classes for gifted students as a child, but knew he did not want to become an artist. He earned a BA in Fine Arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, also attending Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh. An early opportunity to design a room fortuitously sent him headfirst into the interior design world, later utilizing his talents in different ways within the industry.
This dynamic designer has over 38 years combined experience in interior design, retail, furniture design and merchandising. He handled the purchasing of case goods and accessories for six Drexel Heritage stores and visual merchandising of their show rooms as well as other well-known Florida high-end furnishers.
David was lured to High Point, N.C. where he worked for ten years for two leading furniture manufacturers and retailers. For the next decade he earned respect for his work with textile manufacturers, managing all phases of production and merchandising, both domestic and globally and overseeing 15 designers. For many of the lines carried in CDH, David was responsible for the original fabrics.
David’s passion for design has enabled him to create original styles from timeless traditional to up-to-the-minute contemporary and has inspired confidence by generating stylish, yet practical design solutions.
